Martin is a Founding Trustee of the Kumi Foundation, bringing a rare blend of senior corporate leadership and non-profit governance experience.

His global career spans oil, gas, mining, and renewables, with a focus on corporate responsibility, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement across Australia, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. He was the first Executive Director of Bettercoal, a global initiative promoting ethical sourcing in the coal supply chain. His previous senior roles include Head of Communication and Sustainability for BP Biofuels, Vice President of Corporate Responsibility at Katanga Mining in the DRC, and Vice President of Sustainability and External Affairs at BHP Billiton Petroleum.

Alongside his corporate work, Martin has chaired a UK charity supporting people with learning disabilities and served on the board of a national education charity focused on environmental awareness and outdoor learning.

Martin is a passionate advocate for cross-sector collaboration and believes in the power of uniting private sector partners, donors, and philanthropists to deliver social impact at scale.
